These units usually have a few dents, a few rust spots or just need a paint touch-up, but they are structurally sound and wind and water tight (WWT).

Cost To Purchase a Used Shipping Container

Standard costs to buy a used shipping container usually between $1,400-$4,000 with the higher end price meaning that the unit is almost as good a brand new. One trip containers are the "new" containers and are in the best condition. CW or Cargo Worthy containers are the second newest option and still certified for transporting cargo. WWT, wind and water tight units are usually the best option for storage on your property. As is containers are another option but they are not guaranteed to be wind and water tight and may need some repairs or new paint to be suitable for storage. If a unit has a lot of dents but still functions properly, the price will reflect those damages and will tend to be on the lower end of the price spectrum.
